Project Produce Delivers!

Thank you to the Dearborn Farmer’s & Artisan Market for a successful first year of Project Produce.  With the generous support of community members and vendors, volunteers collected and delivered nearly 1600 lbs of fresh produce and artisan food items to First Step of Michigan this season!

This giving spirit helped First Step’s families in transition by providing bountiful fresh produce and specialty artisan food items throughout the Market season.    Each week, the families looked forward to the arrival of the Project Produce donations, sometimes introducing new locally grown items that were brand new on their tables.

We look forward to continuing to grow Project Produce in 2011.  You can still contribute to the Project by clicking “Donate” on the Project Mother’s Day website and entering any amount you would like to offer.  Current donations will be used to help secure a used Van for the 2011 season.
